• Mia’s Latest Surgery

Mia Robertson, the lovely daughter of Duck Dynasty’s Jase and Missy Robertson, underwent surgery today for her cleft lip. The loving parents kept their fans loyally updated throughout the world via their Twitter and Facebook accounts. Fans showed their support by praising Mia’s courage and positive attitude while also showing their support for Jase and Missy.

Mia, Missy reported, maintained an incredibly positive attitude as she prepared for her appointment. Showing her undying faith, love and gratefulness towards her religion, Missy tweeted “God’s got this” the night before the surgery while millions of fans prayed alongside her.

Just before she was “wheeled away”, a snapshot was taken of Mia, her family and her friends. Minutes later, she was taken away to undergo yet another surgery. The family waited anxiously to hear how things went while keeping their fans updated.

Only an hour or so later, Mia was returned to her family safe and sound. In fact, she felt well enough to flash a big thumbs-up to the camera! On his personal Facebook page, Jase wrote, “I really appreciate the outpouring of support, thoughts, and prayers for Mia.” It’s incredible to see Mia so young, yet so strong as she faces things that others can’t even imagine. We pray for a quick recovery and a great new season of Duck Dynasty!

When we surrender our lives, that includes our kids. God can use them to demonstrate His power & grace while holding them in the palm of His hand.
    God bless

I know how your family feels. Our son was born with a club foot and has underwent 4 surgeries so far. Children are amazing how they handle things. I feel like sometimes as though it's harder on us parents than our kids going thru surgeries or procedures, especially when that's all they know is doctors & hospitals! No one wants their kids to go thru these things. I think you raising awareness on cleft lip/palate is awesome!! She is a beautiful little girl & she is truely blessed to have such a supportive loving family!! We are huge fans of all of you! Good Luck & God Bless you all!!

God Bless Mia and her family. My baby brother who had downs had a cleft palate it was tough but it did not require surgery. Anytime surgery is performed on a child is scary so keep your hearts strong and once again God Bless

What an incredibly informative forum for educating people about Mia and her struggles. It's obvious to me that she has the best possible family to help her with those struggles and in doing whatever it takes to help her heal and have a wonderful full life. This has really opened my eyes to this issue and I'm so glad you put this site in place. What an incredible girl Mis is ...

Two of my cousins were born with both cleft lip and palate. Like Mia they had countless surgeries. They are both married today with kids of their own. I pray Mua's future surgeries will be just as successful! God's got this! We love you guys!! ❤️

I love this!!!!! Mia is so beautiful and strong. The love and support of her family and fans can be the difference in a confident young woman as she enters the adult world. As I was born with a bi-lateral cleft lip and palate, I have undergone seven corrective surgeries and all the anxieties and stigmas of this life altering birth defect. Your mission to raise money and awareness is commendable and your child is precious, but my favorite part is your openness and your support of Mia. Your love will make the difference in Mia's life and many others in this world. Thank you!

My son was born 2 months ago with a cleft lip and palate. I was glad to see my family isn't alone on this journey. I wanted to thank you for having the courage to start this site and wanting to help children with clefts. Good luck to Mia and your family with everything.

I just learned of miamoo this afternoon & in fact, just learned of Mia's cleft yesterday! Our son is just beginning in his cleft lip & palate journey. He is 15 weeks old & will be undergoing surgery on Friday to repair his lip & nose. Palate surgery will be @ 8 months old. My family & I have the utmost respect & confidence in the plastic surgeon & surgery team, but extra prayer is always welcome! Thank you for starting this foundation & increasing awareness. Our surgeon stated that cleft is the #1 birth defect that no one knows about. We certainly did not! As your daughter stated & it brings tears to my eyes, "God's got this!"

We are sitting up to watch your show. My seven year old is trying to stay awake to see Mia. He is going to have this surgery with then a year . He is scared so that is why we are letting him stay up on a school night so maybe some of his fear might be less. He just got Babtized two weeks ago. He was so happy he wants every one to know . He loves your show! Mia hope you have a speedy recovery. From Logan's grandmother from greenville, South Carolina jean.lee85@yahoo.com

Mia is so adorable. I loved her speech at the family reunion before her surgery. She sounded so mature! Jase is right when he says she has endured more than many adults can handle. And all with that precious sweetness she has. It warms my heart to see what wonderful parents Jase and Missy are. Love your show. God bless everyone.
